RAPOD in Solihull Living
The RAPOD article published in Solihull Living:
With a 120 year heritage, Timber Innovations Ltd have entered the Garden Building market with their high specification Garden Room design, RAPOD.
Starting as home grown timber merchants and evolving through saw milling, fencing, specialist joinery and DIY, Timber Innovations have built a reputation to become highly qualified in the timber engineering market.
Timber Innovations design and construct timber frame dwellings, as seen on Grand Designs! As well as bespoke timber roofs and engineered floors.
In 2011, the ‘eco house’, featured on the television show Grand Designs, was a project of Timber Innovations Ltd. They designed, engineered and manufactured the wall panels, floor and the roof. The eco house is just one of the innovative and sustainable creations from Timber Innovations.
Continuing to be at the cutting edge of lifestyle innovation, Timber Innovations have launched a new brand called, RAPOD Garden Rooms.
Through their team of master craftsmen, the EU patented, modular design, provides a high quality, comfortable living or working space that can be erected in any garden. Installation is quick and RAPOD ensure that there is limited disruption for the customer. A further benefit of the RAPOD design is the raft of customisable features that enable customers to create a design that is “As Unique As They Are”! These alongside RAPOD’s design patent, created in partnership with Coventry University, gives them a unique, competitive advantage.
After months of preparation RAPOD are ready for the premier of their bespoke Garden Building or ‘Pod’ at the Grand Designs Live exhibition at the London ExCel in May! The building will be clad with numerous options that are on offer, as well as demonstrating the other design features such as the modular join, steel roof, aluminium windows and bifold door. Particular emphasis will be placed on their new ‘Design Your Own RAPOD’ software that will allow members of the public to create their own pod to suit the recommended RAPOD uses – Office, Spa, Music, Gym, Entertain, Play, Living, Studio and Garage – or completely design their own from scratch! This software is due to go live at the end of April.
In May, RAPOD look forward to welcoming a number guests who have played a role in the research, development and creation of the Garden Room, as well as The Mayor of Solihull. They will be joining members of the RAPOD team in an official ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the building that has been built for general public viewing at their office headquarters.
